Wilanów

The days are still sunny but I can already feel winter's breath in the air. I spent the last weekend of summer in Warsaw, where I visited Wilanów - the beautiful baroque palace surrounded by gorgeous gardens. 

Dni są wciąż słoneczne, ale już czuję oddech zimy w powietrzu. Ostatni weekend lata spędziłam w Warszawie, gdzie odwiedziłam Wilanów, a w nim piękny barokowy pałac, otoczony wspaniałymi ogrodami.

The palace was built in the 17th century for king John III Sobieski. The fasades have a creamy, lemony colour and when I looked at the palace for the first time, it reminded me of a cream cake.

Pałac zbudowano dla króla Jana III Sobieskiego. Fasady mają kremowo-cytrynowy kolor i gdy zobaczyłam pałac po raz pierwszy, przypomniał mi on kremowe ciastko.

The fragrant rose garden is one of the prettiest I have ever seen. It is small but romantic.

Pachnący ogród różany jest jednym z najładniejszych jakie widziałam. Nieduży, ale romantyczny.

A wedding photo shoot took place in the gardens that day. Wilanów is a perfect scenery for that.

Akurat tego dnia w ogrodach odbywały się śłubne sesje zdjęciowe. Wilanów jest ku temu idealną scenerią.

There was a flower arrangement exhibition in the beautiful orangerie building.

W pięknej oranżerii odbywała się wystawa układania kwiatów.

The palace is surrounded by a natural park. There I found a Chinese gazebo with stained glass on top.

Pałac otoczony jest naturalnym parkiem. Tu odkryłam chińską altanę z kolorowymi szkłami na czubku.

Wilanowskie Lake is overgrown with water lillies.

Jezioro Wilanowskie porośnięte jest liliami wodnymi.
