Cambridge

I am still discovering Great Britain. This time I visited Cambridge - the town with the second oldest (after Oxford) university in England. I could almost feel the history and tradition in the air. The colleges are impressive and while walking the lanes of Cambridge I felt like I was transported to the Medieval times. I especially liked the beautiful areas by the river Cam, known as The Backs (because they are located to the back of the colleges). I noticed that Autumn has started, because there were lots of red and yellow leaves on the grass.

The trains to Cambridge are leaving from London Liverpool Street Station and the journey takes one and a half hours.

Nadal odkrywam Wielką Brytanię. Tym razem wybrałam się do Cambridge - miasteczka słynącego z najstarszego po Oksfordzie uniwersytetu w Anglii. W powietrzu czuje się tu historię i tradycję. College'e są naprawdę imponujące, a przechadzając się po uliczkach Cambridge chwilami miałam wrażenie, że przeniosłam się do czasów średniowiecznych. Szczególnie podobały mi się malownicze tereny nad rzeką Cam, zwane The Backs (ponieważ znajdują się z tyłu budunków uniwersyteckich). Zauważyłam, że już właściwie zaczęła się jesień, bo na trawnikach leżało dużo czerwonych i żółtych liści. 

Pociągi do Cambridge odjeżdżają ze stacji London Liverpool Street Station, podróż trwa półtorej godziny.
